Interior Decoration

Need extra room in your peewee place? We all know that mirrors make a small spot seem bigger. But what are some other options? Using a little bit of common sense people will think you have attended an Interior Design School.

* Pick a theme. Many colors and random pieces make a room look cluttered. Whether African, contemporary or country, a theme pulls a small space together and makes it seem larger.

* Nix patterns. They make a tiny space seem more cramped. Choose furniture and bedding in solid, neutral colors, and save the patterns for accents, such as pillows.

* Replace diminutive, doll-like furniture. Finding the largest sofa, chair or table that will fit comfortably in your space is the best option.

* Put a bureau in your living room. Dress it up with photos or vases on top, then use the drawers for storage.
